Nearly four and a half months following the previous coach's first press conference as Rangers head coach, his replacement Danny Rohl met with the media at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The scale of the task facing him is widely recognized, considering his predecessor's turbulent and disappointing 123-day spell.

The former Wednesday manager was accompanied by chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned duo of football director Kevin Thelwell and CEO Stewart.

But what exactly was revealed from the 36-year-old coach's first public appearance as the club's manager?

The Manager's Main Priority - Winning is Everything

A single message emerged loud and clear from the new coach's first appearance in front of the local press - he recognizes the need to win matches, and achieve this quickly.

The previous manager Russell Martin managed just 17 matches and 123 days as manager, so the question arose about how long Rohl believes is realistic to transform the underperforming squad.

While skillfully sidestepping a direct answer that could bring future pressure, Rohl's communication was quite clear.

"Hopefully as soon as possible," he said. "This is crucial.
"In football you have limited time. You can discuss long-term vision but we know it's about immediate results and that period involves winning games. That is my requirement.
"Another aspect remains clear - I require every squad member to comprehend our intended to play. I come back to my main theme: it's winning, it's attractive and it's together. If you follow this sequence, I believe that I'll stay very long at the club."

Pressure is Normal

The previous manager needed a police escort to leave the stadium after his last match as manager.

We've witnessed how hostile situations can turn at sports teams when performances decline. Protests have almost become a regular part of the matchday atmosphere on both sides of Glasgow these days.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the inquiry was posed about which attributes the coach thinks he possesses that would enable him to handle, never mind excel, in among the highest-pressure roles in British football?

"In my opinion pressure in football are standard," he stated. "You must learn that rapidly.
"I believe certain individuals might mention my youth but I have been a decade and a half in this career. I had an excellent chance to be at the German club and be just the assistant manager, but I felt what it means to be a head coach and the pressure involved.
"You begin getting results and then certain people will say you need to produce entertaining soccer. That's the next phase but that's exactly my intention. I enjoy that challenge and I'm excited about the future."

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had numerous inquiries from journalists for Thelwell.

Much discussion has focused on the appointment of his son as head of recruitment, with supporters skeptical about his credentials for the position.

However, he justified and explained the decision to recruit his son to the club.

"It remains awkward to hear and in appearance I think we all agreed when we made this step to appoint Robbie that he would be viewed negatively," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of the situation is that we want to attract the very best talent here.
"My perspective on his professional path and situation is he required no my assistance in football.
"He's worked at Villa as head scout, he then moved to Norwich as scouting chief and then got promoted to development role.
"Prior to our hiring him, multiple Premier League teams wanted to acquire him. What we did from the beginning of proceedings was discuss with Patrick, Andrew and deputy chairman Paraag Marathe about this matter.
"I was extremely transparent and I think he likely underwent a more rigorous process than anybody else who's employed by the team.
"I'm certain is that he'll labor 25/8 to be successful for this football club and I'm looking forward seeing him demonstrating that he's going to be an excellent employee for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell defended the signing of striker Youssef Chermiti, who arrived at Rangers for an alleged first payment of £8m, after failing to score in 24 games for his previous club.

It was Thelwell who brought the Portuguese youth international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - again for significant money in a fifteen million pound deal.

The question came if he stands by his expensive purchase, who hasn't yet register in seven outings for Rangers.

"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell responded. "I think the striker is a player who's got huge potential.
"I haven't doubted him in any way. Again, I think the manager will assist in get the best out of Youssef.
"These are initial stages for the young player, he remains promising prospect and of course with young talents they occasionally take time.
"However, I'm convinced over the course of his career at the club he's going to prove that he is very, very good footballer."

Stewart Understands Fan Disappointment and Anger

Stewart was also in the media firing line, considering the criticism that has been aimed his way by some of the club's fans.

Additionally, there was a banner in the Sandy Jardine stand during the recent tie with Dundee United inviting Stewart - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before they were packed for them.

Like his football director, Stewart didn't avoid the issue.

"I completely understand the frustration and anger that fans are experiencing because results recently haven't been good enough and nobody's happy with those," he said.
"The hurt and frustration fans experience is mirrored within the boardroom.
"Also understand that there has to be a channel for those frustrations and as chief executive, I'm responsible.
"I'm a focal point for those and my responsibility as a
